A cozy 2-bedroom apartment above Getaway Motor Cafe in historic downtown Carver, MN. Built in 1871, beautifully restored, with a Nordic Modern warmth that makes you want to stay a little longer. Cared for by Luke and Beka. Jøtul fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable queen beds, heated bathroom floors, and private balcony over the creek. Coffee and pastries downstairs by day, cocktails and live music on weekend nights. River trails out the door. Sleeps 4. Small-town charm. Come rest. The entire second level is yours. Open-concept living with a Jøtul fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen with custom finishes, and two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and phone chargers at every bedside. Heated bathroom floors for cold Minnesota mornings. The private balcony overlooks the creek and the cafe patio below. Downstairs, Getaway Motor Cafe serves coffee, espresso, and pastries through mid-afternoon, then shifts to craft cocktails, wine, and local beers Thursday through Saturday evenings. Morning coffee is one staircase away. Downtown Carver puts you within a short walk of local shops, restaurants, and the river levee. The Ash Street trailhead is right outside your door with access to the Carver Loop Trail, Rapids River Trail, and the Minnesota River Valley Regional Trail system. Miles of hiking, biking, and seasonal trails without ever starting your car. The building dates to 1871 and every detail of the restoration was done with intention. You'll feel it. Full access to the entire second level and private balcony. Entry is through an external staircase off the back patio. Keypad code arrives the day before check-in and changes every guest. No elevator or interior stair access. Cafe patio seating may be in use when you come and go. Contactless check-in and check-out. We live nearby and are easy to reach through the Airbnb app. Hands-off until you need us, quick when you do. Downtown Carver is a historic river town on the Minnesota River, southwest of the Twin Cities. Main Street's brick storefronts date to the 1800s, and the whole downtown walks end to end in ten minutes. Getaway Motor Cafe is right downstairs. Carver Creamery is two blocks away. Food trucks and live music roll through in the warm months, and Schram Vineyards is a short drive away in Waconia. The Ash Street trailhead sits just outside the door: the Carver Loop Trail, Rapids River Trail, and the Minnesota River Valley Regional Trail system, plus the river levee for an evening walk. We invested in soundproofing well beyond code, though some ambient cafe and patio sound comes through during open hours. Most guests say it's part of the charm. Even better than the photos! It’s a gorgeous place in a great location. It was quiet and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed taking walks in the morning along the canal with a nice cup of coffee from the cafe below. The music on Friday evening was fun to listen to from our own little deck. It ended plenty early for a good night’s rest in the cozy beds. Huge kitchen was easy to fix a nice meal in, too. Hosts were friendly and, by far, the most responsive I’ve encountered during many Air BnB stays.

Luke’s place was amazing! It is obvious the time he spent on putting just the right touches on all aspects of the space. He is also one of the most responsive hosts I’ve stayed with. Having a cafe downstairs really puts Luke’s place over the top. We went each morning for coffee and there is also live music and food trucks on the weekends. It’s a short drive to the new amphitheater in Shakopee which was a huge draw for us when booking the space and also getting concert tickets. I can’t recommend Luke’s place enough!

We loved staying here. Luke was awesome. Very proactive in communication. Easy to find check in and check out instructions. Very easy and simple to follow. The place was a ton of fun. Looks recently updated. Great beds, nice kitchen, lots of hot water and a great shower. It’s a fun location and space. The cafe below has great pastries. The walking trails around the place are amazing. Go left and you walk to a beautiful trail through the woods. Go right and you are on a very nice paved walking path. Carver creamery is two blocks away for a sweet treat. Mizzy’s pizza is a 5 min drive and some amazing pizza. The candy store is 15 min away. EP is 20 min away. We said over and over how much we enjoyed the stay there.

Amazing space above an incredible coffee and cocktail restaurant hang out. Patio was great with live music, food truck and lots of life! The inside was thoughtfully laid out with things to do and every inch well furnished and utilized. Bike and walking path out the door. We walked to creamery and spent time on Prior Lake not far away. Luke was great as well, above and beyond by updating us with coffee hours and much more! 5⭐️ stay for sure!!!
