Overview
Property operations run on short outbound contact: a text to a cleaner about a late checkout, a call to a contractor to confirm Thursday, a message to an owner about a repair. Individually trivial, collectively a large part of somebody’s day.
Connecting Dialpad lets that happen from wherever the decision was made. When a change means someone needs telling, the AI can send the text rather than producing a task reminding you to send it — which is the step that usually gets dropped.
Contact lookup matters more than it sounds. Half the delay in reaching a contractor is finding the right number — it is in someone’s phone, an old email, or a note nobody else can see — and having the directory available to the AI removes that hunt entirely. Ask it to text the Southside cleaners and it knows who they are.

- Look up a contact Find the right number without searching for it. "What is the number for the Southside cleaning team?"

Create & update
- Send an SMS Text a cleaner, contractor or owner from your business number. "Text Maria that the Elm Street checkout moved to 2pm."
- Place a call Start an outbound call from the connected account.
- Manage contacts Add or update a contact so the next person to need it does not repeat the search.
Setup
Dialpad connects through OAuth against your account, so ProhostAI never sees your password.
- Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
- Search for Dialpad and select Connect.
- Sign in to Dialpad and approve the permissions.
- Ask the AI to look up a contact to confirm the connection works.
Good to know
- Messages and calls go out through your Dialpad account and are billed by Dialpad as usual.
- The AI reaches the contacts and numbers the connected account can reach, so account permissions remain the control.
- This is for reaching your team and suppliers. Guest conversations belong in the unified inbox, where the AI has the stay history — connect Twilio if you want guests to have a number that answers.
- Revoking ProhostAI in your Dialpad settings ends access immediately.

Can ProhostAI text my cleaners from Dialpad?
Yes. It can send SMS from the connected Dialpad account — for example telling a cleaner that a checkout moved — without you switching apps.
Should guests call our Dialpad number?
Dialpad is aimed at reaching your team and suppliers. If you want a number that answers guests automatically, connect Twilio, which is the carrier behind AI Phone.
Does this cost extra?
Connecting is included with ProhostAI, but calls and messages are billed by Dialpad on your own account as usual.
Can it place calls?
Yes, it can start outbound calls from the connected account, as well as look up the contact to call.
How do I disconnect Dialpad?
Open Settings → Connections in ProhostAI and disconnect it, or revoke ProhostAI in your Dialpad account settings.
