Overview

Apaleo is API-first by design, aimed at operators who wanted to compose their own stack rather than accept a monolith. Property groups choosing it have usually made that decision consciously.

The trade is that composition is never finished. An open platform gives you the freedom to connect the best tool for each job and the ongoing obligation to actually do it.

Guest messaging is a common gap in those stacks, because it is the piece that needs judgement rather than data movement. A well-composed system can route reservations perfectly and still leave a person answering the same question forty times a week.

Connecting Apaleo fills that slot. Reservations flow through, the AI answers from them, and the platform keeps doing what it was chosen for.

Setup

Apaleo connects with an API key from your Apaleo account, so ProhostAI never sees your password.

  1. In Apaleo, generate an API key from the API section of your account.
  2. Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
  3. Search for Apaleo, select Connect, and paste the key.
  4. Wait for the first sync, then check your listings and upcoming reservations look right.

  • Apaleo stays the system of record for availability, rates and bookings. ProhostAI reads them and acts on them rather than replacing them.
